Classic Banana Pudding

Everyone has a banana pudding recipe, am I right? And everyone's is the best. That's because it's really hard to make a bad banana pudding. BUT. If you do not currently have your own go-to recipe, here you go. This is it.

It's hard to imagine it without vanilla wafers, but it actually did exist before then. In fact, it became popular after the Civil War due to the increasing availability of bananas.

Nabisco's 'Nilla Wafers became synonymous with banana pudding in the 1920's when they started putting a recipe on the back of their box.
